The textile artwork you make is perfect for crafting with or recreating on garments at home. This is a practical and playful workshop to spark your curiosity as you begin your natural dye journey.

As most of the natural world slumbers, we now have an opportunity to create colours from food waste. The humble onion holds such beautiful earthy coppers and browns. In this session I will be demonstrating how to create a dye pot, treat your fabrics with binders and modifiers and how to achieve geometric patterns using a resist dye technique. We will be creating dye cloths on muslin cotton that you can use for garment making or craft projects at home. This is an immersive workshop, so while we wait for our magic to brew, I will guide you through some gentle ink making practices.

All materials provided – Please wear old clothes *Parking included in ticket price*

We Are Woven was born from a deep curiosity with the natural world and the dream to create synergistically with the mystery of each season.

I have been facilitating group projects for many years and nothing brings me more inspiration than the union between community, creativity and wild spaces.

By delving into earth practices, we can steady the mind, expand the heart and bring gentle connection between place, petal and palm.

The Gower Peninsula has been home to my studio sanctuary since the spring of 2022.

It is a space dedicated to collective learning experiences and the vibrant restoration of our world within worlds.

I look forward to welcoming you there and weaving these wonders together.
