Access For All

Access For All

We extend a warm welcome to all our visitors. If you have any special requirements, we will try to meet them as far as is possible. We offer a concessionary entry rate for anyone registered disabled and free entry for their helper on request – without the embarrassment of showing identification.

Dogs are welcome in the Gower Heritage Centre as long as they are kept on a lead at all times ,but they cannot access the poultry park.

Mobility

The Heritage Centre consists of a collection of old buildings, so the surface underfoot is sometimes a little rough and uneven. 95% of the Centre can be easily accessed by someone in a wheelchair. There are several disabled parking spaces in the car park and it is also possible to drive right up to the front entrance to unload if necessary. We have a couple of wheelchairs available for use by our visitors.

Hearing impaired

Self Guided Tours of the Mill can be done using our App which is available to download here.

Visually impaired

We try to ensure that the Centre is easy to negotiate, with steps clearly marked and pathways kept clear. We do not currently have any material available in Braille. If you have any comments or suggestions to make about improvements we could make, we would be happy to hear them.

Special needs

We often welcome groups of people with learning difficulties, either for specialised tours or simply as individual visitors. Again, please get in touch for details of our special concessionary rates.
