Come along to The Old Mill Story House inside The Gower Heritage Centre. We have lots of inspirational, magical workshops happening. See below for more details on every workshop taking place this Summer. 🤗
Summer Family Fun
Wednesdays & Fridays in August
📖 We hear the story “The Pirate Boy” in our magical theatre for children.
🏴☠️ We hear about the smugglers of Gower and the most successful of all pirates – Welsh Captain Black Bart.
🗺️ We take our maps and look for pirate clues around the 1000 year old mill.
🎨 We have an art workshop with a local Gower artist and produce pirate watercolour prints and a pirate craft.
🦆 We take part in our fun pirate duck race.
The tickets include entry, car parking and a small pirate gift!

Every Saturday in August, Mildred Moonbeam will be telling Indie Dragon all about our favourite Julia Donaldson stories in our magical theatre for children.
These workshops are perfect for our youngest visitors who love Zog, Gruffalo, Stick Man, and of course our very own Mildred, Cobweb & Indie.
📖 We hear the story in our magical theatre for children.
🗺️ We help Indie with our maps to find the story clues around the 1000-year-old mill.
🎨 We have an art session and create character wands and a watercolour lino-cut print of Zog on Gower.
🦆 We all take part in our fun duck race.

These art days are suitable for children and young people aged 7+.
11am – 3pm Drop Off & Pick Up.
Children need a packed lunch and drinks.
All the sessions are magical and based on stories around the mill on Gower.
⭐ We hear the stories in our magical theatre for children.
💧 We talk about the themes and find evidence of the stories around the 1000-year-old mill, learning about its magic!
🐞 We work with a range of materials and produce stunning artworks in our “Alice” art room.
🧚 We have a short break for lunch on our fairy tale verandah.
🦆 We finish the workshop with a well-deserved fun duck race.
