Interactive Tour and Heritage Experience
Step into history and get your hands flour-y at the Gower Heritage Centre! Our immersive, interactive 2.5-hour experience takes you on a thrilling journey through time, where you’ll not only learn the ancient art of milling, but also become part of it.
Kick things off with an exclusive guided tour of the 12th-century water mill, where you’ll discover how technology and history intertwine. Watch in awe as you operate the sluice and launder gates, controlling the flow of water to power the massive water wheel. Then, it’s time to roll up your sleeves and get involved! You’ll align the grindstones, pour grain into the hopper, and fire up the entire milling system to create your very own flour.
And it doesn’t stop there! At the end of this hands-on experience, you’ll walk away with your very own 1kg bag of freshly milled flour to take home, as well as memories to last a lifetime.
Alongside this unforgettable adventure, enjoy the charm of the Gower Heritage Centre, complete with the Shed Head Cider shop for delicious snacks and drinks, plus a variety of other fascinating exhibits to explore.
This is a perfect day out for families, history lovers, or anyone eager to dive into the past and bring a piece of it home. Book your individual ticket for £35 or bring your friends along with a group ticket for just £100 (for 4 people). Come and create lasting memories while learning about flour-making the old-fashioned way
