Our stoneground flour is now available again and in stock in the Mill Shop also alongside bread mixes. The bags of flour are £4.00 a bag and bread mixes are £3.00. The water-powered wheel here at the Mill is the main driving force for what turns the stones to grind the flour. If you do come and purchase a flour bag or bread mix, be sure to also pick-up our instruction leaflet for bread making.
We have guided tours of the Flour Mill running all through half-term from our new Tour Guide, Rhys. Tours run every 30 minutes or so, tours do not need to be pre-booked. Just turn up to the Centre and pay for normal entry.
Wood Turning and Blacksmith demonstrations
We have some Wood Turning and Blacksmith demonstrations by Peter Forward, on the dates of 21st-24th of April. The water powered lathe will be in action for these demonstrations.
For the rest of the Easter holidays there are various different activities on, being run by the Humanities Health Hub within the Gower Heritage Centre. From the week of Monday the 18th, the activities on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are crafts only and you can just turn up to do these (there will be a small additional charge on top of your entry ticket to the Heritage Centre).
However, on the Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd the Little Red Hen activities will be back and must be pre-booked as they include the full package. There are no events on the Sunday (24th) -Book Here-
Activities include things such as: Craft Workshops, duck Races, Easter Egg hunt etc…
