Cheese & Cider Weekend

Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th May

Tasters from a large selection of locally made cider and cheese. As well as the range of real ciders we have our own, traditionally made cider, pressed on our 120 year old cider press and fermented in oak casks.There will also be stalls with local produce. Visitors will be able to sample and enjoy some of the best cheese and ciders Wales as to offer..There will also be advise on how to make your own apple juice and cider and a chance to see a traditional 1890s travelling cider press on site along with a great line up of live music all weekend with some festival favourites coming back again this year. Live music provided by our immensely talented local acts. Soak up the atmosphere, fine food and drink this May!

Gower Good Food Festival

Sunday 29th & Monday 30th May

10.00am - 5.30pm

The Gower Heritage Centre has been holding successful foodie events for years now, and the Gower Good Food Festival is no exception. Back for its fifth year, the festival is back by popular demand, and this year will be held from Sunday 29th May to Monday 30th May. The event will play host to some of the areaís very best local producers, giving them the chance to showcase their delicious homemade produce. Foodies wonít want to miss out on the chance to sample the wares

Itís not all just about sampling tasty food though, as there will also activities to take part in, including guided tours of the mill and animal feeding sessions Ė the latter of which is sure to appeal to the youngest of visitors. Thereís something for everyone at this family-friendly event, even blacksmith and glass blowing demonstrations and the chance to get crafty in workshops for pottery and making hand-puppets(extra charges apply). For some retro fun, keep an eye out for Punch & Judy shows.

Ukulele Festival of Wales

A two day Ukulele Festival.Headline bands with supporting acts. Stalls, Workshops, Jamming area, also Open mic sessions. The Gower Inn has also kindly agreed to host our "Friday Evening Festival Taster" which will kick off our mighty new festival weekend. Guaranteed fun strum so don't forget to bring your uke..

Pirate Weeks

Come aboard for a swashbuckling event!


Leave the scurvy landlubbers behind and set Course for a fun-filled week of pirate-themed events at The Gower Heritage Centre! Take to the seas of your imagination in our inter-active stories, but beware Davy Jones locker. train to be a Pirate. Or maybe ye can find yourself a spot of treasure in our treasure hunts. With gold panning, bouncy castle, craft activities and swashbuckling movies held in Wales' smallest cinema, La Charrette and of course the oppertunity to cross swords with infamous Captain Jack Sparrow and Captain Charlotte Duberry! This is one only to miss if ye have been swallowed by a Whale! Standard entrance fee applies.

Country Games Day

Wednesday 10th August

No games Consoles or televisions here! Country Games day is packed full to the brim with traditional country games. Ranging from contorting your face in our gurning competition to the messy game of inky pinky. Traditional tales Molly Whuppie and Young Kate will be brought to life in our Inter-active storytelling sessions. Puppet shows with Punch and Judy and hunt for Will the Mills hidden brandy! Holiday fun.


Beach Fun Day

Wednesday 17th August

Come rain or shine The Gower Heritage Centre will brings you all the fun of the beach. Meet Miranda the Mermaid and take an adventure in your imagination in our inter-active stories from the deep, with games, challenges and lots of activities along the way. Its a fabulous day of fun for whole family to enjoy, including Free Bouncy Castle, Traditional Punch & Judy puppet shows, Sandcastle competitions, Limbo competitions, Beach themed crafts, Cartoons in Wales' smallest cinema La Charrette Quizzes and much much more! So put on your best pair of shades, grab a bucket and spade and make your way to Gower Heritage centre today!

Medieval Fun Week

Gory Gower

Travel back in time at The Gower Heritage Centre today and experience a day of Medieval Madness, where we will be putting the Gory back into the Gower, and having a whole lot of old fashioned fun! There will be lots to do for the whole family. Did you know that Mice were put on trial? We do and you can find out why and much much more about the mad medievals on our mad-capped medeival quiz. Meet the Lady Elizabeth, Hiss, boo and cheer in our inter-active tales straight out of medieval legend, including the famous Robyn the Hood. Dare to join in with our Great Crime and Punishment quiz, beset with all sorts of Gory challenges along the way. With Knights training, dragon slaying, and fancy dress, there are many chances for you to have a legendary day of fun and to win special favour's (prizes) from reception.

Bluegrass Festival

Returning for its 12th year the event has gained in reputation and continues to attract musicians from South Wales and further afield across the Severn Bridge. Bluegrass enthusiasts have the opportunity to take advantage of our open picking sessions and participate in our instrumental workshops.

Big Apple Weekend

Itís that time of year where we descend upon the orchard, pick our apples and man the press. Come see us make cider from fresh cider apples using our 120 year old cider press. Sample various local ciders including our own and taste some freshly pressed apple juice.Our cider makers are at hand to answer questions you may have.

Halloween Party Nights

Why not spend Halloween in one of the most haunted spots in Gower. The three nights are host to a spooky disco,dancing competitions,fancy dress competitions, scary story telling in our haunted mill cottage, swamp dip, halloween crafts and pumkin carving(additional charge applies), bat hunts, ghost hunts and more ! Parents are invited to dress up as well as children.

Viking Weekend

Climb aboard your longship and set sail for the Gower Heritage Centre to meet The Dragons of the Sea, The Vikings! Become a part of action in the inter-active stories of Thor, Sirgaurd and the Dragon and one of the fiercest of all the Vikings, Ragnor! Learn how to battle like a Viking in Viking training, and join in with Our Great Viking Challenge. With quizzes and crafts and much much more, this will be a day even Thor's mighty father Odin wouldn't want to miss!



Christmas Craft Fayre & Father Christmas arrives

The Gower Heritage Centre is celebrating in style with its very own Christmas market featuring a range of local produce and crafts. Entry to the Gower Heritage Centre and the Christmas market will be free all weekend.
